OOC: Here is some general information about Cindy and Fables
Fables: These are your classic characters, both major and minor, from story books, folk lore, myths, legends and classical literature. In general they are semi-immortal. They can be killed, but depending how popular their tale is among the mundies, the harder it is to kill them. For example, Goldie Locks actually had an ax embedded in her skull and she still got up. But if a character, like Rose Red, who is not as well known, would probably die like a normal person from such an injury. Cindy herself survives and walks away from a deadly car crash since the story of Cinderella is so well known.
It's pretty much any character in literature that is in public domain now, can appear in Fables. For example, Edmond Dantes from Count of Monte Cristo runs a fencing school in Fabletown. It has also been implied that Aslan from C.S. Lewis's Narnia series was a known figure in the Homelands. Also several Wizard of OZ characters have been seen in Fables and its spin off series, Jack of Fables. Characters from myths have also appeared in Fables such as Sigmund from Norse mythology.
The most common fables to be seen in Fabletown & the Farm originate from European myth, folklore, and literature. You see more Americana characters in Jack of Fables, and of course the Arabian fables can be found in Fabletown East. There are also characters from other cultures living in shadow communities throughout the world, such as China and Russia.
Homelands: The world where all the Fables have come from. Here is where all the settings for all you favorite fairy tales actually took place. A lot of Fables fled here when the Adversary started conquering all the countries with a "serve me or die" policy.
The Mundane World: Better known as Earth. It is where the Fables who wanted to escape the Adversary fled to. Most of Fables takes place in modern day New York.
Mundies: What Fables call normal people. They have no magic and are completely unaware that their favorite fairy tales are real. Think of the term as the Fables version of 'muggles'.
Fabletown: Bullfinch Street, in New York City. This street is were most of the human Fables live. Here all the businesses are run and owned by Fables, and just about all the building and business have a name that has some kind of fairytale reference. For example: "Glass Slipper Shoes," "The Eggman Diner," and "Stone Soup." There is a spell around the area that helps keep mundies from noticing anything unusual about the place.
Fabletown secretly runs separately from the rest of New York. It has its own mayor and police force.
There are also other "Shadow Fabletowns" around the world who run separately form Fabletown NY. It is currently known there is one in Russia and another in China.
The Farm: Located in upstate New York. This is where all the Fables who can not pass as a normal human, or afford a glamor to make them look human, stay. Most of the residence here don't like it there, because they are forced to stay and can't leave. There is a spell around the area that keeps mundies from even approaching it.
Here is a list of businesses found in Fabletown.
Fabletown East: This is were the Arabian Fables live. Physically, it is not in the Mundane World but in the Homelands by a gate that lead into modern day Baghdad.
Fabletown Compact: Every Fable who wishes to take refuge in Fabletown has to sign the Fabletown Compact. Once signed they are given amnesty for past deeds. The result you have fairy tale villains, like Frau Totenkinder, living along side everyone else.
Tourists: These are Fabletown's on the book spies that travel the world and keep an eye out for anything that could threaten Fabletown and it's residence. One of the more known Tourists is Mowgli from the Jungle Book. The other Fables in Fabletown are aware of the
Cinderella is different from a Tourist since she is an off the books spy. There are only a few Fables who that she is more that some irresponsible owner of a shoe store. She's the one that is sent out to do Fabletown's dirty work.
Literals and Gods
Because Fables also has characters from myths appearing in it, there is a very good chance that gods from ancient mythology are fables too. The only god like beings in fables are the literals, who are personifications of literary ideas. For example Mr. Revise, The Fourth Wall, Writer's Block, and the many genres. The most powerful one is Mr. Revise's father, Kevin Thorn who is the writer. He can literally write create a universe and destroy it just by writing.
Because of the literals and the chance that a god in myth can be a fable, I'm going have to say that I can't give permission for any god or god like characters in game to know anything about Cindy in her Fables's canon.
