Character Information
Character Name: Cinderella
Fandom: Fables (Vertigo Comics)
Character History: Everyone knows the classic story of Cinderella. Orphaned girl works as servant for her wicked step mother and step sisters. Step mother and sisters go to ball, forcing girl to stay at home with only mice as company. Fairy godmother comes to girl, magics up a ball gown, glass slippers, and carriage and coachmen from a pumpkin and mice. Girl goes to ball, meets Prince Charming, has to leave a midnight, loses a slipper, carriage turns back to pumpkin. Prince finds slipper, uses it to find girl, they marry and live happily ever after.
Well, all that is true, up until the "Happily ever after" part. As it turns out, Cinderella is Prince Charming's third wife (the first being Snow White, and the second Briar Rose). He still can’t keep it in his pants and Cindy catches him with one of the servant wenches. By this time, the Adversary is starting to take over the Homelands, so Charming and Cindy escape to one of the last fortresses for Fables who want to leave the Homelands. Cindy agrees not to divorce him until they get to the Mundane World (the world where she and other Fables are known characters in stories), thus insuring that he doesn’t have to stay behind and fight.
Once in the mundane world, and she divorces from the not so charming Prince Charming, Bigby (aka the Big Bad Wolf) recruits her to act as an off the records spy for Fabletown. For the next 200 plus years she travels all over the Mundane world and protects Fabletown's interests. One of her first missions is during the French Revolution where she rescues Puss-in-Boots. She also works for the United States during the Civil War to take out Confederate spies. With Bigby, she spies against the Nazis during World War II, before the United States gets involve. During the Cold War, she has several assignments to assassinate ‘Romeo’ agents from East Germany that are planted in West Berlin. Also during the Cold War she has a rivalry with Dorothy Gale, from the Wizard of Oz fame, who is also a hired gun for the Soviet Fables. The rivalry ends for a while in the mid 80s when Cindy kicks Dorothy off a cliff to her suppose death.
In more modern times, she also works to find Fables who may betray Fabletown, such as Ichabod Crane, as well as act as an interrogator to the captured wooden soldiers after the Battle of Fabletown.
When her ex-husband won the seat for Fabletown mayor, it causes Bigby step down as sheriff, and as a result she starts to take orders from Beast, the new Sheriff of Falbetown. Her duties expand to being a diplomat to the Cloud Kingdom to help make preparations to bring down the Adversary in the Homelands.
The front for all her spy work is that she owns a women’s shoe store called The Glass Slipper Shoes. When she is not in town, which is quite often, she leaves Crispin, who is the shoe maker from the story of the Shoe maker and the elves.
Because of her status as “off the books,” very few people know that she is a spy. For a while, only Bigby, and Frau Totenkinder knew about her real career, mainly because Bigby gives out the orders and Totenkinder supplies her with what magical items she needs. Not even the mayor of Fabletown knows about her work as a spy. But over time, a few more Fables learn of her work, most of which consist of animal Fables who assist her on missions, such as Puss in Boots, and Dickory, a mouse known to run up clocks.
Character Personality: First impressions of Cinderella are that she's a sassy, brash, shallow, loud, carefree, fashionista party girl, who has a beef against her ex-husband and lives well above her income by taking frequent trips and thus is considered irresponsible. Except that is only one of her personae. The Cinderella that most do not get to see is cunning, calm, calculating, and can even be ruthless when dealing with an enemy, to the point that she would not even think twice of killing them in order to complete a mission. Both sides of her personality are equally true it just all depends on the what situation she finds herself that will show which persona, but most of the time she is going to keep her more fun loving sassy on the surface.
She is also quite cynical, especially when someone brings up long term relationships. Since her supposed fairy tale marriage ended due to Charming being unfaithful, she no longer believes there is such a thing as happily ever after, and that nothing will last forever. Rather, she goes for the happy for now and the short fun flings, and doesn’t expect someone to stick around for her. Because of this she acts very flirtatious to other men, even when she is "spy mode." She's not looking for any long term relationship so why not have a little fun?
Even when being humble, she still considers herself one of the best spies around, mainly because while most spies have just one life time to perfect their craft, she has had several. But that doesn't stop her from admitting when she messes up on a mission or makes a major mistake. Even those who are the best are still capable from fumbling from time to time, and she keeps this in mind so as not to get too cocky.
Cindy is also fiercely loyal to Fabletown, even calling herself a patriot, and doing most of her missions without any pay. She does what she does so that other Fables would not have to do the dirty work in order to live a peaceful life. That doesn’t mean she hasn’t taken advantage when a mission sent her an exotic location. She admitted that she’d took longer to set up her cover just so she could enjoy living the high life a little.
She also enjoys the thrill that comes along with being a spy. In fact, the job has turned her into a bit of an adrenaline junky, and she especially loves to skydive.
She also has a dislike towards guns, and it's not because of paranoia or a "omg guns are bad!" mentality. It is due to the fact that she doesn't want to depend on them too much for her spy work. They seem to make things too easy, and not the mention that they are only good as long as you have bullets for them. But, she does keep a stock pile of them though, as a just in case, and will use them when it is necessary.
Powers and Abilities:
Cinderella can’t use magic, but, like most Fables whose tale is popular in the Mundane world, she is practically immortal and that comes with a few extra bonuses. She doesn’t age, and when injured, she can quickly recover. Most fatal injures would not be enough to kill her, though they may put her out of commission for a while. Also, she has well above average stamina, and can go without sleep for a whole week, which can come in handy when she is on a mission. Another bonus for her tale being popular is that she is quite physically strong. She even flipped a large SUV by herself one time in the comic, but her strength probably doesn’t go beyond that.
She is also very skilled in hand-to-hand combat, specializing in disarming opponents and using their own weapons against them. Though she doesn’t really care for them, she is a good shot with several different kinds of guns, ranging from old fashion muskets to automatic assault rifles.

Network:
[After her arrival, and after having a small fit of swearing over her current situation, Cinderella finally took out her phone to look over the network, before finally making a video post.]
So after going through this little network, or whatever the hell you want to call it, this is what I've gathered about this place.
For one, everyone here is from some different world or universe, and somehow got dragged here against their will. Gods know for what reason apparently other than to annoy the shit out of people. Also saw something about storms, which seems like they fuck people over on a regular bases.
There was some other crap, but those two things got my attention the most. What also got my attention was the apparent lack of information about how to get the hell out of here. This place may have it's perks, but I'm a busy woman and would really like to get back to my nice comfy first class seat.
Third Person:
Cinderella walked across from the street from the Woodland Building to her store. She had just gotten back from an assignment and figured she would check how Crispin was doing before she went for debriefing with Bigby. It was always fun to catch him by surprise when she came home early as it gave her an idea what he really thought of her. If he kept on thinking that she was irresponsible, it meant that her cover was still firmly in place. Plus, she liked how uncomfortable it made him whenever she caught him muttering to himself.
The door opened to and two women came out. Two mundy women, since they commented on the fairy tale theme that all the stores on the street seemed to have. Cindy took the chance and slipped into the store while the door was still open so that the bell wouldn't chime again to warn Crispin that another person had walked into the store.
She found him behind the counter, facing away from the door. As she got closer, the carpet muffled the sound of her heels, she heard him muttering under his breathe. "That Cinderella is going to drive the store into the ground with her spending and constant vacations. I should be the one running this place, not her."
Yep, right on cue, she thought. Though it was reassuring that her cover was still firmly in place, she still felt annoyed by it, since her trips were never real vacations. Of course she couldn't tell him their true nature, since that would defeat the purpose of her being an off the books agent. So instead she smiled, and cheerfully spoke. "Hi Crispin~ Miss me?"
That caused the young looking man to jump and turned to face her, his face paled. "Ms. Cinderella! When did you get back?"
"I've been back long enough." She got some satisfaction when she saw his face drained of what little color was left, and she cut him off before he could say anything. "Oh Relax! Everyone in Fabletown, including me, knows how much you bitch and whine about me behind my back, and I haven't fired you yet."
He nodded, still looking pale, "So, how was your trip."
"Oh the usual," she started when the bell chimed and she turned to see Bigby standing in the door way. She grabbed Crispin by arm and started to lead him towards the door. "But I'll tell you about it later. You look like you could use a break. Go and I'll watch the store."
"But-" he started but she cut him off.
"Go and have lunch already." And with that she practically shoved him out the door, before she flipped the store’s 'open/close' sign and turned to Bigby. Crispin probably thought that she was having an affair with the Sheriff, and would no doubt gossip about it to the other Fables in town. That was fine. Let him spread the rumor, as it would only help her cover and keep her reputation as a loose irresponsible business woman in place.
In the meantime it was time for the debriefing.
